Aigantighe Art Gallery
This afternoon S and I visited our friend in hospital, she is doing really well, and after we left she was being taken to her home to assess what she will require once home, possibly next week. Wonderful news.
Then we went to our art gallery to see this exhibition of stunning bronze sculptures, a local man with so much talent. We sat and watched a video of the processes he and his wife do to create these amazing art forms.
Birds his favourite with animals and people also very popular.

“Trevor Askin: Time Flies 1980 - 2022
This exhibition presents a retrospective of Trevor Askin's works over the last 40 years.
Trevor Askin works from his own studio and foundry in the Timaru. He began sculpting in 1980, working mainly in a representational sculpture. However, after about five years his work began to develop a freer and flowing style, enabling a fuller expression of life and movement. These works are without hard lines, which give the unique style its name ‘curvilinear’.”
