Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2024 Tuesday — Fine Dining

Since last October when Mr. Fun was admitted to the hospital because of fluid retention and was put on a low sodium diet, we go out to eat almost never. Late this afternoon we walked the pups in Tidelands Park in Morro Bay and decided afterward that dinner out would be our choice. We knew that “naked” fish would be the very best option for him. We went to DiStasios Italian Ristorante.

So we both ordered the grilled halibut; his was naked and mine was fully dressed; in other words, marinated In olive oil, rosemary, thyme, capers and garlic. Served over asparagus and topped with a creamy garlic and caper sauce served with pasta. It was so very satisfying and delicious. The pasta is not in my photo, but I brought it home for tomorrow’s lunch or maybe dinner.

A dinner like this is enormously too much money, but because we seldom dine out, it won’t murder the piggy bank.

So we didn’t have tacos on Tuesday, but what we had hit the spot.

Good night from California’s
Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
