Woodpeckers, wood piles, firewood, music

I'll start with the picture of a fairly common visitor to our bird feeders, to be more exact to the feeders providing fat - the great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major). S/he is not in the least interested in seeds but a piece of hanging pork fat, or a fat ball, is irresistible.
This one was photographed through a window but as we work outside the birds seem to get used to us, and realise we are not a threat. So I was able to watch this individual from 4 meters away, slightly closer than through the window. My work outside was a continuation of yesterday's, chopping back the shrubs and either sawing up the wood from the wood pile, or moving it to a new pile of rotting logs, kept at the bottom of the garden. Apparently rotting logs are a desirable residence for some creatures, which in turn provide a quick feast for others.
This evening we were back to the cinema to see a documentary (Som vi har älskat) about a successful young Swedish folk singer, local to this area though she now lives in Stockholm. It's tricky to describe and all her songs are in Swedish, but Jan has written more and provided a link. I'll provide a review, written in English, which also includes a video of her in action.
This is the third blip in a blipburst (19/20/21 April)  to catch up with the week.
