Busy day

Rushing and heading off to dinner.

It’s been fabulous.
We were heading for our next hotel in Levico Terme, but we were due to see several lakes en route.

All would have been straightforward but there have been a number of rock falls which have resulted in some road closures. Because we were changing hotels, we had a very large bus to accommodate all of us and the luggage. We’d have been fine on the diversion route if it hadn’t been for the scary hairpin bends. We got a bit stuck. Backing on a mountain pass is not easy. The locals were very helpful, albeit amused. We ended up going a very long way round.

No real problem, apart from worries for our super driver and tour leader.

Nevertheless we visited all the planned lakes, had a fabulous lunch, avoided the rain and were only an hour or so late.

We’re now in Levico Terme just beyond Trento, following a spectacular route in the Dolomites.

Life is just one superb adventure.
