Lost In Television

European Athletic U23 Championships in Tampere is about to begin. The blip is from main control room of the finnish national feed from the tv-centre Tampere.... :-).

For few days I am now getting familiar to the production, refreshing memories and learning how they use partly brand new technology. The biggest change - to the old times, as I worked here - is that all of the workers have now headsets with microphones - so the main control room is even more quiet (for the outsider) than it has ever been this far. And of course the screens and control units - almost everything in technical point of view - is fresh and new after the renovation. This is the first sports event from this control room.
