Emerging

We've been here three evenings now, and we've been monitoring the gap between the hills closely for signs of a sunset. Nothing at all the previous two evenings, but this evening at least some shafts of light. Unfortunately, shortly after I took this picture dark clouds rolled in completely and all that can be seen now is a thin line of orange/pink on the horizon. Never mind, it's getting better bit by bit.

Another good day - misty this morning, but we largely escaped the mist by heading out onto St Ninian's Isle, topping up our tans (or in my case burns....). Afterwards, we went to meet a lovely blipper, and tomorrow we may meet another one.

And we discovered that on Shetland apparently the internet slows down, nay grinds to a halt, when a cruise ship is berthed in Lerwick. No real idea why, but there you go.
