Graveyard Glow

We've rested and rested and rested again, basking in lovely temps in our perfect spot. The weather was grand and the fresh air a relief.

I took a short walk down our hill to the Gates House , the Machiasport Historical Society and walked a bit along the river. The tide was out and the clammer's trucks filled the lot. We heard them going out earlier in their motor boats to the flats. The tides are very high here due to the influence of the Bay of Fundy, and switch very rapidly.

After dinner I walked out among our silent neighbors as evening glow bathed the land and sea.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny and perfect, a real Maine day!
