Well that's more like it hey?
Is this the Cambodian version of Nuns on the Run?
Had a super day today - took a tuk tuk to the National Museum - entry, English(ish) speaking personal guide and book for $10. Mostly statues and sculptures ..Khymer art and deities (sp?). Quick lunch in a coffee shop by the Foreign Correspondents' Club ( on the list for a re-visit) and then back along to the Royal Palace...was a little early so mosied along to the park / square and caught the monks. Most were young and carrying text books so I guess there must have been a training establishment of some kind near by.
I went into the Palace and enjoyed the impressive buildings and one hall full of incredibly dusty "stuff" in turn of the century display cases with some buddas in the middle who were obviously well thought of as one in three stopped to pray at one or another. The best thing here however was spending an hour sitting on some steps watching the local kids watching me and the few other westerners. I now feature on at least half a dozen stateoftheart photophones, maybe I'm even a screensaver by now - how cool would that be?

Walked a couple of miles back to the hotel to jump straight in the pool for 30 lengths. Sandwich and a lovely fruit cocktail fur ma tea and now I have to plan tomorrow..
NB - Cambodia story starts 1st Aug
