Royal Beauty

Today is mid-term break, which meant no students, so I took the opportunity to make an appointment in Nelson for the morning. I had planned to be back at work by mid-day but there was a bit of a delay. Seeing I was late anyway, I headed home via my butterfly spotting spot.

There were not all that many of them about - they've spread their wings, with the warmer weather, and headed off to find new flowers to feed on. I did manage to track a few of them down and I like that you can see this guy's hairy abdomen.

In the end I didn't make it back to work until about 1.30. Still, with no-one about, I managed to get a fair bit done.
