Orient Point

Our goal during this short vacation was to explore something of the intricate network of bays, inlets, lakes and coastal river villages in the Shoalhaven district of NSW. This is one part of my home state I had never really explored. Of course when one considers that New South Wales is large enough to contain Great Britain almost four times over, maybe I can be forgiven just a little.

This location (by the name of Orient Point) is a sleepy little place where boating and fishing are pretty much the most boisterous activities on offer. Wharves are ricketty, boat engines go "putt putt" a lot and nobody gets terribly anxious about ANY thing ... really.
