Until They Think Warm days will Never Cease

Sometimes it is hard to understand other people's behaviour.
Yesterday we pitched our tent in a corner of a huge field at the Tantallon Caravan Site as far away as possible from the 2 other tents already erected at the far side.
We were delighted to have such a lovely space to ourselves, so you can imagine our dismay to find when we returned at 9pm, another tent pitched so close to ours, the guy ropes were almost entwined, and still acres of available grass lying empty.

To add insult to injury, the family in question got up at dawn, padded about outside chatting, banged their car doors and finally took down their tent and departed at 7:45am. It seems from reception, they neither booked in nor payed.

Having recovered our composure, we cycled forth into a sunny morning to do a tour round by Aberlady, Garleton, and Athelstaneford with a scone stop at Merryhatton Garden centre, before going on to Whitekirk , Seacliff and Tantallon Castle.
There was quite a stiff easterly breeze which blew us along one half of the route, held us back on the other half, and shook the dying leaves off trees, making them dance on the road in front of our tyres.
There were fewer golden harvested fields and more rich brown newly ploughed ones, with a few already planted for winter crops.

We made it home in time to sit in the sun on the patio, HL with a lager and I with a G&T.
Happy Days.........."until they think warm days will never cease".
