Daughter E was keen to go for an evening walk to see the sun set over the village, so we went on a route largely new to me which she and her husband had explored before. The light show above was changing second by second, and we all clicked our shutters like a horde of cicadas.
The day had mostly been taken up by cooking a vegetable paella in the garden over a vine-wood fire - something of a tradition for us on a sunny family Sunday. Red and green peppers and tomatoes came straight off the plants, and artichoke hearts and broad beans from the garden via the freezer.
