With reference to the paucity of water in the Water of Leith in the summer, here's the weir in full spate. Perhaps it's all a ploy to test out the brand new flood defences as soon as possible. We did see Mr Heron briefly, flying up the river perhaps looking for somewhere to pause and look for his breakfast or lunch. The weir, one of his usual haunts, certainly looks a bit uninviting with this amount of water flowing over it.

I've been working at home today. Reading, reading, reading. Watching some footie now. I've heard that Arsenal have played well so far this year.
