Lia Sings

Lia sang the solo special music this morning at church and it was beautiful. Several nights a week now she is singing in elegant dinner houses. She is a college student and I think she is 21 or maybe 22 years old. We've known her since she was teenie-tiny and she is a lovely person.

This evening we watched the live-streaming memorial tribute to Pastor Chuck Smith. We had discussed the possibility of attending the event which was held just 20 miles from here at the Pond in Anaheim, but we decided the crowed of 20,000 people and the length of time (it started at 5:00 and ended at 9:00) was a little more than we were able to do. We were so glad we watched it live. Chuck Smith was a special man and influenced a generation or three of people. To see the people, hear the testimonies, and listen to the music was spectacular. We especially enjoyed the music of Malcolm and Alwyn a British group whose music we thoroughly enjoyed years ago and this evening, live, they were as wonderful as ever.
