Autumn Leaf Confetti...

Backblipped 28.10.13

Heard the boys at 6am. Alan was thirsty but thankfully after a drink the pair of them went back to sleep.

Once they were up Andrew decided on French toast for breakfast and Alan had macaroni cheese. Heinz of course. Yuk.

Andrew had brought his diary with him to pencil in dates for his next visit. He informed us that when he next visits he could stay for a week or forever if that was ok. Bless him. He has LOTS and I really DO mean lots of siblings and I think he enjoys the attention as well as the peace when he’s here with us. I told him I would speak to his mum later in the week and arrange his next visit.

Marion arrived at 12 and Andrew’s mum picked him up at 2pm. Alan decided on a quiet afternoon in as the weather was terrible. David and I had planned to go to a fireplace shop in Stirling to get a fire basket for the open fire so we can actually light it, but since we hadn’t actually had anything to eat, ended up going to a local café and having a very leisurely lunch. It was lovely sitting inside the cosy café looking out at the rain and wind and just chatting. A perfect end to David’s week off.

Back home and it was into the snug with the fire on (the living flame fire not the real one) and watching Strictly and X Factor before a late supper of a roll and sausage. It was all we could manage after our lunch out!

Alan is looking forward to going back to school but also wants a lie in. After two weeks of not getting out of his bed before 11am, that 7 o’clock rise is going to be a bit of a shock to his system! And the 6am rise to mine!
