All Saint's day evening

So many finns want to light up a candle to the graves of their loved ones in All Saint's Day evening, but they may live far away of them, so there often is a place to leave a memory candle for those buried in distance.

We had an evening drive to two graveyards and I also arranged some fresh pine branches and light up a candle to the grave of the "spare" grandmum of mine. Se is not a relative to me, but has been very dear. I am so happy that she could meet our first child before she had to leave.

A lot of people in the graveyards, walking and enjoying the atmosphere and the huge sea of candles - as there was candels in front of almost every grave. Very idyllic and quiet, silent and warm feeling night. Some more shots here...

I baked a cake earlier today and as we arrived home in the evening, I made hot baked tunafish-cheese sandwiches for us and we ate the cake for the dessert.

Weather has been quite nice today, cloudy 6c.
Happy Halloween to your all.

Thanks for nice commenting and stars lately, so nice of you indeed ;)
