An ordinary life....

Love is in the air...

Although I hate the commercialism of Valentine’s Day, I still can’t help myself celebrating it meaning David must celebrate it also.
:))

I got a lovely Valentine card that made me laugh out loud at the verse D had written inside. He also bought me a pressie, allegedly. I say allegedly because be bought it when out buying a sandwich at lunchtime yesterday and then inadvertently threw it out in the carrier bag along with his sandwich wrapper. Hmmmmm!

Agnes and Adrian came for dinner and stayed over. They had the journey from hell to get here as just after 4.30pm it started to snow and it came piling down, non-stop for hours. Alan’s Christmas music suddenly didn’t seem so out of place.

Anyhoo, they did make it and we had a great night. A bit of arguing discussion for and against Scottish independence, few frames of snooker, laughing about times past, plans for retirement (for those still working ) and almost keeling over in shock that it’s 30 years this June since we all left school!!

For those lovely blip pals who suggested veggie recipes for tonight, I have kept a note of them all as they are fab and I will make them all for Agnes at some point in the future, but this evening I went for LeeAnne’s suggestion of Gingered Chicken with Noodles (made with quorn for Agnes). It was delish. For dessert we had Panettone Bread & Butter pudding with Dulce De Leche ice cream and choc dipped strawberries and chocolate hearts made my me. Calorie free of course. *crosses fingers behind back*

PS The 5 recipients of Valentines from Alan were all delighted. He got one and seems VERY happy with it! :)))
