Exiguous

Another good nights sleep - those codeine sure do knock me out.

Really sunny and bright today but blowing a gale. Cats have tried to go outside but the wind has driven them back indoors. But of course a few mins later they are crying to be out again. Tino is especially noisy today - wish I had a pair of earplugs.

Early blip ( for me anyway ) as I'm off to the cinema this evening. Figured it wouldn't be too tiring just sitting watching a film. The cinema is at the Metrocentre indoor shopping mall and the bus journey is short. I have a free ticket for a preview showing of Labor Day which stars Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.

Today DDW's Forum Challenge word is Exiguous - meaning scanty, meagre, skimpy, stingy - very small in size or amount. Here we have a Slimming World Rocky Road Hi Fi Bar. As you can see its topped with a few marshmallows. Now when I started buying these bars last year ( they are sold in the "shop " at slimming group ) they used to be groaning with marshmallows - the top was filled with them. Now there are much less - 6 on today's bar but a couple of days ago I opened a pack and it had ONE solitary marshmallow. Our consultant regularly puts in complaints on our behalf about these bars and Slimming World have been in contact with the company who makes them to try and get the quality back up to scratch. When one of these bars is your daily treat you feel a bit short changed when it doesn't measure up. More marshmallows please.
