The end of a wonderful day

Fresh local fruit for breakfast - papaya, coconut, oranges, avocado, melon, banana; followed by a walk through the trees to the local church service. The service was interestingly fire and brimstone and the singing was superb.

After church a walk home around the island - in the water the whole way because the tide was so high. Wet anyway, it seemed logical to then have a swim before a local foods banquet lunch.

An afternoon spent sea kayaking followed, with a wee nap at the end to 'recuperate' before dinner. And dinner! Now that was something to write about. Fresh caught yellowfin tuna with taro chips and salad followed by banana fritters cooked just right - so that the batter was crispy and the banana remained raw inside (I cant abide cooked banana).

Sitting at the bar now - the only place on the island with internet - and contemplating a wander off to our fale and a glass of duty free Baileys.

Life is good.
