Spot the blipper

Always difficult to know what to blip after a blipmeet! You have to second-guess what the other blippers are going to do -- on one occasion, chaiselongue and I both blipped the same thing.

Today we met up in Narbonne with Connections and Pilipo, champion blipmeeters -- they have racked up three blipmeets in four days. I have never yet been disappointed when I've met people I know on the Internet in real life, and C and P are no exception. We met outside les Halles and walked through the market to les Cuisiniers Cavistes, where we had a leisurely lunch with much chat.

We thought C and P would have "done" Narbonne in the morning, but they hadn't, so after lunch we went to the cathedral to show them the medieval altar back I am so fond of -- although I think C was more taken with the characterful gargoyles in the cloister, where I snapped this lurking blipper. S is used to the habits of one blipper, but now he had three to contend with, constantly stopping or wandering off to take photos. He was duly patient.

After the cathedral we went to the Horreum, a Roman underground grain store now used to display Roman sculpture and pottery. It consists of many narrow, dimly lit passageways, so it's not for the claustrophobic. A muffled soundtrack of Latin conversation adds atmosphere. S and I hadn't been here for many years, so we enjoyed looking round and scraping up the remnants of our archaeological expertise to provide guidance.

It was lovely to meet you, C and P, and thanks for the presents -- including a brochure to tempt us to visit Bellingham :)

PS Oh, all right -- as a reward for reading this far, here's a photo of the blipmeet, taken by the waiter in the restaurant.
