Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

Bliptogether #3

Now Bob dog has joined the Bliptogether parade with Rosie (since we couldn't get him to stretch out both front legs!).

Here we are at the "Eye Care for Animals -- Tustin" office waiting in the examination room for Dr. Doug Esson to arrive. Waiting was not a problem; we entertained ourselves by taking the camera out of my purse and the fun began!

Of course the vet would have thought we were crazy had he and his assistant walked in as we posed numerous times -- with Mr. Fun saying to me, "Your arms are not right." Me, "Okay, let's do it again!" We did it so many times that Bob dog finally gave-up and just laid down to pose (and then I used the first photo clicked!). That's a dog-biscuit broken-in-half in front of Bob--not throw-up, even though I'm sure he felt like vomiting (he hates visiting the doctor).

So that's another two-for-the-price-of-one bliptogether!

Now, for the grand news -- Dr. Esson says Bob's right eyeball is healing quite nicely. He was very pleased with what he saw when the room light was turned-off and he gazed into Bob's eye with his pointy bright light. Bob wasn't as pleased--he turned to nip the assistant (he missed her, thank goodness).

The healing process is going so well that the doc says we do not need to return for another exam for 6 months. Bob will always be blind in the right eye, but the eyeball has healed well enough that it is not likely to rupture. We are greatly relieved.

Personally, I think the credit is all due to Mr. Fun and his commitment since Friday, December 11, to follow the doctor's orders and administer medicines 3 times a day to Bob's eyes--that was the day the doc first gave us the bad news that Bob's right eye was in terrible condition and that he may even need it removed.

Thank you to everyone who has shown concerned interest about Bob dog.

It is pouring rain in Southern California and we are delighted. It is also not yet 4:00 p.m. and Rosie has uploaded the "Funville" blip for today! Amazing!

Till tomorrow,
Rosie & Mr. Fun, and Bob dog, too -- aka Carol

P.S. If you don't know what this is all about there are two places for you to look:

1) Look at the blipblog which explains in detail how to join the parade and why you ought to be in it.
2) Look here at the tags which gives a sneak preview of Saturday's event

So come on everyone, find someone who will reach out and extend his or her hands to join hands around the world; then take their photo or even better, do a self-portrait to get into the parade yourself.
