Pansy Perfection

What a day.....

Mother to her Osteopath for a session then on we went to Topiary Cafe at Wal's Nursery for our obligatory coffee and piklets with raspberry jam and cream. Yum! Enjoyed our coffee watching great flocks of birds - pigeons we think - whirling and twirling backwards and forwards under a pale milky blue sky cross hatched with trails of whispy cloud.

After gathering a few essentials from the vegetable shop we got on our way home only to be stopped short just beyond the gates to the nursery we witnessed a cat being run over by the car in front of us. I had to stop as the poor wee mite was not yet deceased and the woman who had hit it was beside herself and was too traumatised to deal with the situation and the screaming kids in her car. After spending final moments with puss quietening it down for its final journey it was gently wrapped in some plastic and we took it to the local Veterinary Clinic to be disposed of with dignity. Fortunately it had a micro-chip so the clinic would be able to notify the owners. Needless to say the drive home was heavy and silent.

So happy that this pansy image was so perfect in its way- just as life is in all it's glory and ingloriousness (??!!)
