Black and white landscape

We went to buy wine at our favourite place this morning - the Domaine d'Estève at Roquessels. There wasn't much colour - the sun was behind clouds most of the time, increasingly so as we approached Roquessels, which is only a few kilometres north of us but is much higher and has a slightly colder climate. The vineyards are all in sepia winter colours now and the evergreen garrigue plants are a dusty green. I thought black and white enhanced the different slightly misty layers of hills looking down from Roquessels back towards Gabian, which is hidden behind one of the hills in the middle distance.
