Italian Edinburgh

The restaurant facade brings back waves of nostalgia for me.

Sandstone blocks that make up the buildings in Scotland's capital are still touched with patched of soot, echoes of a more industrial past. The beautiful typography probably dates back to just after the war when Italian immigrants took their place in Scotland's history.

There are still a large number of independent businesses here I am glad to say, apart from Princes Street which is Oxford Street by another name.

A great lunch and catch up with G at Blip Central before moving on again.
