Wednesday 27 January 2010: Through the Clouds
Through the clouds.
Through the heavy looming clouds of yesterday.
Through the fear.
Through the worry and concern.
Through the clouds.
The clouds of yesterday.
We awoke to a miracle this morning. Our friend's surgery was a success. The stress, the tension, the headache...it all disappeared as we heard these words, "She is okay".
A double lung transplant was performed at 8pm and the dedicated surgeons worked tirelessly until 2:30am. Healthy donor lungs took the place of damaged lungs that were barely able to function. We all have hope that this surgery will give her decades more of life. A non-smoker. A healthy lifestyle. An unknown condition. Years of tests and years of distress, hopefully cured today.
Hopefully, through the clouds........we continue to have hope. Faith!

Early this morning, we were gifted with the view of this. A rare glimpse of this beautiful snow covered mountain.....through the clouds.
