Rothenburg ob der Taube

Today we delivered daughter #2 to her service camp in Trassem - a small town in southwest Germany near the French and Luxembourg borders. We then drove eastward to visit the beautiful city of Rothenburg ob der Taube. The entire city wall is still in tact and we were able to walk along it around the city's full circumference. We also found a lovely restaurant garden where we enjoyed dinner and cocktails in the shadow of an ancient cathedral in the heart of town. As is often the custom in Europe, we were seated at a table with another couple. They were from Holland and quite friendly.

At the end of the day we continued on to Nürnberg where we'd booked a hotel - but we didn't really see any of that city, since we were headed further east come morning.
