Evening Wheatfield

They seem to be harvesting the wheatfields already - in July! - so I thought I'd best get a Blip in before it all goes into the combine harvester!
The Little Misses and I had a lovely afternoon in Milton Keynes.
Mr K's been using my car this week to take all the garden waste to the dump and it was filthy.
Also, the Little Misses seem incapable of eating anything in the car without smushing it into the seats as hard as they can.
And strewing it all over the floor.
So it was time to sort it out.
And by sort it out I mean pay someone to thoroughly clean it for me!
We dropped it off at the valet place and then went to John Lewis for lunch.
I had a nice filling pot of tea while they enjoyed their boxes of fruit, cheese, yoghurt, muffins, sandwiches, crisps, milk, orange juice and water.
Then we went to pick up our shiny, spotless car and headed back to Miss L's swimming.
Via the Pound Shop where Miss E picked up a few bargains. And Miss L got upset because she'd lost her marble money sometime between getting it on Saturday and this afternoon.
We've decided to stop subbing them and actually get them to manage their money themselves!
A big fat fail for Miss L. That'll learn her!!
This morning we finally got round to cleaning out the fishtank. Not before time - poor New Lucy and Libra couldn't see out through the algae!
So we scrubbed it out, rinsed the gravel, washed the fake log, added the stuff to do whatever you need to do to tap water and left the tank to get up to room temperature while we went to Milton Keynes.
Guess what New Lucy did while we were out?
Threw herself out of the bowl they were in and gasped her last on the dining room floor.
Bloody fish.
Miss E took it better than she took the demise of Old Lucy. But she did say she wished we didn't have to clean them out.
I'm inclined to agree with her!
