Rubber duck

Lovely day. Driving around with a car in the evening, searching for a bilp, as it was still so warm and summerish (+24c feeling cool almost ;)) - and even as we seem to have a new companion: the hard wind has been blowing all day long...

This Rubberduck is made out of metal and car tyres. It is over 3 meters high. The duck adventures in various places in the city. This small square is by the Tampere Art Gallery and the duck will stay here until late august.

The artist made the duck is Villu Jaanisoo (b. 1963, Tallinn). He is a sculptor and professor of the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts . Villu Jaanisoo graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1989. He is known as a sculptor of versatile materials and lives and works both in Pirkkala (next town to Tampere) and Helsinki. Jaanisoo has made several public sculptures in Finland and Estonia. This rubber duck is maybe relate to the rubber gorilla he has made out same materials.

A large duck here, notice me in the blip...

Do have a lovely weekend, all!
