Brazil in Finland - as my Blipfriend said...!

Thanks for the comments and stars to my summer postcards to you from the city of Tampere lately!

The "Flower week" of my hometown is about to end. Today we could join for free the zumba-excercise and there was a samba-dancers' parade through the city ending to central square show. The Uniao da Roseira-dancers looked great, as you can see in the shot. So great actually, that somehow they do not fit in the city scene being so sweet & smiling - like beautiful UFOs!

The parade did not look like in Brazil: it looked here in Tampere like this - someone had loaded the carnival parade already into Youtube. There was also kids dancing..

I wanted to give you a possibility to visit via videos on the same streets as I was walking today, +28c, windy and sunny, hot day!

As you can see, the original finn from this so called Häme-area is kinda slow and quiet, maybe the most slowest people there is in Finland I quess, as the public is standing all very still and silent. It is so normal here, spooky sometimes even! Also maybe the dancers are quite slower moving if compared to the brazilian ones... ;)
I wonder if we were different and faster in our manners if we were used to warm weather instead of cold. You never know.

August is the third and simultaneously also the last summer month here: First migratory birds (for ex. blackheaded gulls) have already left from Finland, but if the weather forecast promised hot summer days to continue next week.

Hope you have had a good weekend this far!

Susanna
