Thornton Moor

Friend Verity invited me out for a walk this morning and we chose a local one from the Millennium circular walks, no 4. I never fail to be amazed that there are still undiscovered gems on our doorstep! The weather was showery and we got very wet once or twice, and survived ordeal by cows, twice. A lunch stop for soup and cake at Asa Nicholson's revived us for the final mile at which point we were back down to t-shirts. Thank you Verity, let's do no.1 next time (it's against my OCD streak to take things out of order!)

The moors look glorious with their carpet of heather just now.
