Big rocks

Another favourite haunt revisited on a glorious sunny day. An easy walk for the man with the broken tailbone and then a picnic followed by a scramble around the rocks... eventually the invalid had to give in at that and lie baking in the sun shine on a big flat rock instead.

I had great fun walking through boggy peat on top of the cliffs in sandals. Lovely cool squelchiness without having to worry about my boots having to dry out. Bliss on hot feet.

I know we are used to slightly cooler temperatures here but I am always surprised to see tourists in fleeces, hats and full wet weather gear when it's 20° and sunny with just a light summer breeze to keep the midges away. Do they really find that cold?

If you look closely you should be able to see Steven at the bottom of the cliff face.
