Bathroom Window

As Mike goes about on his post round he often gets offered all sorts of things by folk, mostly surplus vegetables and fruit, cabbage seedlings, plant cuttings etc, but on Friday an old couple in the village offered us the use of part of their garden!

This morning, armed with secatuers and pruning saw, I started cutting back the willows, brambles, rosa rugosa and nettles which have reclaimed it over the last few years. Under the thick thatch of grass I have found stones which at one time marked out the edges of vegetable beds, and am starting to see what it might have been like and could be again. It's terrifically exciting and its progress will be blipped!

It was a day of heavy showers, sunshine and midges and I got very muddy and sweaty so a bath was called for before we took ourselves out to the Sands for a meal in the evening - hence the bathroom window blip!
