Bad Hair Day . . . !

So very windy up on the cliff path, it looks as if Ollie's lost his eye but it's just his ear blown over, like a rather extreme comb over! Lots of gulls wheeling around and terrific waves crashing in at the bottom of the cliffs.

More gales forecast over the next 24 hours and the cruise liner that we were expecting tomorrow, with its three bus loads of visitors, is giving Orkney a miss and heading straight to its next port of call. Not a lot of fun being in a boat in rough weather . . . . I've been out and picked all the sweet peas and the hatches will be battened down in readiness!
