1780 to 2014

This house on the edge of our village was built in 1780. In January of 2014 it suffered a fire and the roof has been slowly collapsing ever since. Today I could see the sky through the burned out roof timbers. The owner had to be rescued in the middle of the night by the "pompiers" and survived unscathed. Lucky man, you can see the rusty springs from his mattress hanging from the blackened timber! The good news is, not only did the owner survive, but the insurance company has agreed to restore the house to its original condition.
