Up Bow, Down Bow

At the end of tonight's rehearsal, we had a string sectional during which our new director carefully and painstakingly reviewed bowings for various passages of the Beethoven (we're playing Symphony No. 1). Better synchronized bowing between instruments not only makes a better visual experience for the audience, but should help us achieve a cleaner, fuller sound. At least, that's the plan! Here, Emily, my fellow cellist is marking her music.
