Fall Streak Hole Phenomenum

I was definitely amazed to see this strange circular shape in the sky this morning as we set out on the walk. I took photos as we went along but this one I took first was the best. Have a look in Large for more detail.

Turns out it was a Fall Streak Hole which I've never ever seen before and only vaguely heard of it from the internet. It only happens during unusual meteorological conditions and the time was right for it to happen over Perth this morning! Have a look at the link for all the technical details.

After about half an hour the hole had moved further south and a weird long line in the clouds had also appeared which seemed to end at the hole, it was all really strange and fascinating!
