Sunday: Joan Baez

I have been so excited about tonight for ages.  Joan Baez in concert in Zagreb!

Even for me, as a big fan, she exceeded all expectations!  K. and I saw her a few years ago at the Royal Albert Hall but this was so much better.  She played a small venue of about 800 seats, or so, and the experience was just amazing.  It was so intimate - she played a wonderful range of songs including many old favourites.

As K. said, you really felt you were in the presence of greatness.  No big effects, no late entrances, no massive bands - just her, two musicians and their guitars.
