The fool on the hill

Dear Great Aunt Quinella
How's Watford? Cadence and I decided to go for a drive down to Southampton. Well, there was nothing on telly and we are both sick to the back teeth of Scrabble. We took Yvon's youngest, Diesel, out with us (he's been excluded again) (for haircut violations).
We drove around this roundabout 16 (and a half) times (that steering problem has reoccurred but Cadence and Diesel managed to belt the steering column with their shoes and with enough clout that it came free at last - phew! I was getting dizzy!)
We found an old junk shop with this smashing old postcard in it (it had lots of other stuff - not just the postcard. In fact Cadence found a whole box of 20 gauge brass trowel-winding wire - unused!)
I'm surprised to see things haven't changed much since this picture was taken. In fact the cars look just the same as nowadays - there's progress for you. It is a lovely roundabout - very well planted - we had a good look - 16 off them. But the planners have been very thoughtless - They've plonked it right on a major intersection. Don't these public servants ever think of the consequences of their actions? There's bureaucracy for you.
Enjoy the rest of Watford and tell the cousins that all the string is fully wound.
Maude.
