Open Wide Now!

While the first lot of fledgings have now moved on, this little fellow has just arrived. He's quite cute and very tiny, has a lovely little hop and lift-off combination going on as he tries out his new wings. With being so young both Mr and Mrs Blackbird are attentively attending to him, this is mum feeding him.

I had my heart in my mouth for a wee while as he basked in the sun on this mound of mulch which was quite exposed, thankfully no cats came along.

Warm today, hubby painted the fence, Daughter E called in, Daughter A rang when visiting hubby's folks, lovely to catch up with family.
