Remnants of the Old West . . .

Now a modern resort town, Breckenridge, Colorado was started in 1859 during the Pikes Peak gold rush... Reportedly, more than a million troy ounces (~31,000 kg) was taken from the Breckenridge mining district.

A few old log cabins and proper "timber" houses from the era are scattered among the new. A nice juxtaposition giving a relaxed atmosphere.
