The second half of life..

By twigs

A day in the life of Mrs Oyster Catcher.....

Get up at 5.00am. Head to beach with hubby for breakfast

Spend inordinate amount of time on beach sticking beak into all manner of places but do manage to find a few shell-fish. (I wonder if I can find a cafe round here that might poach one for me??)

11.00am - Hubby is still gorging himself. I've had enough so find quiet place on beach to rest.

11.12am - Pah! School holidays! Too many little humans around. Makes resting stressful......not in the slightest bit relaxing.

11.14 - Morning tea time. Find a shell-fish to eat.

12.05 - Need a bit of exercise so stretch the wings with a flight to other end of Island to see cousins.

1.37 - Return from cousins spot feeling a bit peckish (they didn't even offer me an old shell to pick clean!) Hunt another shell-fish.

2.29 - Hubby and I take afternoon nap together

2.37 - Afternoon tea time. Hunt out a shell-fish

3.29 - Had a close encounter with a young gull. Really - the youth of today have no respect for us smaller, frail types. Still - at least he only took my shell-fish. It could have been worse.

4.15 - Afternoon siesta

5.47 Walk home after a long and busy day. Hmmm - I'm pleased I walked - I'd have missed the sunset if I'd brought the car.

5.48 I wonder if hubby's had enough to eat today?
