Monday 19 April 2010: Falling flowers

Borage we picked on Saturday. We've used some of the flowers in salads and cooked the leaves, but the remaining flowers still look nice in a jug on the kitchen table. (Could only get one of the flower heads properly in focus, but I like the haze of hairs on the stems.)

Borage grows along the roadsides and the edges of the vineyards and on any uncultivated land at this time of year.
