Tuesday 20 April 2010: Cracked cherub

We found this on the dump when we were taking rubbish there a couple of years ago. Since then it has leaned against our garden wall, among the Vinca plants and weeds, still holding its equally cracked cornucopia.

Very hot today - 27 degrees C as we left the garden just before lunch - but it's clouding over now, with rain or volcanic ash, I'm not sure. Airports in southern France are so far unaffected but we do have a train strike!
