Chinese seal

I've had this in my mind for a while as an indoor blip, a seal my mother had made for her in China in 1985. And today is the ninth anniversary of her death, so a rather sad day as well as a grey indoor one. There doesn't seem to be much light today and even with a lamp on, the camera flash and a tripod this old Chinese man didn't seem to want to be sharply in focus.

I wish I could remember more about this seal - it's made of alabaster and the little pot of ink is porcelain, but I don't remember exactly where it came from or what the design signifies. My mother was an artist and she used this seal to sign some of her paintings and we're lucky to be left with so much of her work as well as our memories of her.
