Autumn revealing winter

Autumn is funny this year. I know someone with early Daffodils flowering (his normally flower start of August). We haven't had a frost in town, there is no snow on the mountains and I'm still biking to work.

On some trees it's like autumn has arrested, with leaves looking more like late summer. Other trees are mostly bare branches with just a few leaves.

A late blip for me. I've been out at the Court Theatre at a sneak preview performance of Chekhov's play 'The Seagull', which opens tomorrow night. The main sponsor of the theatre arranged the show for their clients. My friend scored tickets at work. Most of the city went to the rugby and the rest of us went to the Court ;-)

It was an interesting mix of audience. Some people have clearly never been to theatre before and were down right rude, talking during the performance, unwrapping lollies etc. Fortunately they left at the interval. Perhaps they should have gone to the rugby to begin with.

It's the weekend :-)
