A little bit of sun

I was mostly inside today but I did get the chance to enjoy and appreciate the sun late this afternoon.

I took photos of late afternoon sun on leaves on the local trees. As I wandered home I noticed these remnants of Agapanthas backlit by the last of the sun. Perfect.

A pretty rough day but I'm ok now. There is no magic bullet and for now I've had all the sachets of stuff I can have. This doesn't leave me with many options. My surgeon couldn't see me today so I'm seeing my GP tomorrow. It's hard to know what she can offer that a specialist can't but at least I'll be examined before the weekend.

Despite the rough bit I was surprisingly productive before and after. I'm shifting office on Tuesday so spent the last part packing and sorting. The rest can wait until Tuesday. It's a temporary shift (to the office next door!) until they sort where we're shifted to in the 'new world'.

I've reintroduced sloppy food today. I didn't feel nauseous and decided I would go and enjoy the farewell for my big boss this evening. It was held at a mexican bar and restaurant and work was paying. That probably paints a sufficient picture ;-)

He is truly one of the good guys in this life. Approachable, fair, approachable with a fine intellect he applies in a practical way. I'll miss you R. You're a huge loss.

After I left I took a little walk around the lanes and High st area. It felt safe on a Thursday night. It cleared my head and just enjoyed seeing colours, shapes, reflections and details in a night light.

I'm having tomorrow off to give me a chance to catch my breathe, get on top of things around home, see the doc and ease into our long weekend.

Time to relax. Sleep doesn't fee far away.

Thinking of all you UK blippers who must be feeling stunned and horrified by today's events.
