The second half of life..

By twigs

Spiky

There are precious few flowers in the garden at this time of the year but this one seems to have great resilience. I can't remember (not sure if I ever even knew!) what it's called, but since planting it about 18 months ago it seems to have decided it quite likes being where it is. And I like it too....

It spreads so fills gaps nicely which is good.

It's a blue flower head which I like.

It's easy to keep under control, which I like too.

It doens't seem to demand much by way of care which is lucky!

And added to all that, you realise that it actually quite beautiful at close quarters too. The apparent 'spikes' are totally harmless and just add to its interest and visual appeal.
