Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Lynda at Cyndi's Home

This has been a lazy Sunday -- after a week of family camp, we returned yesterday to some fairly warm temperatures here on the mainland (we live on the edge of the desert). Actually most of southern California is a desert. The desert is camoflagued with watered lawns. Anyway, it is HOT!

We took Tristan to church with us. He loved Sunday school.

Desiree had spent Saturday night with her close friend Sam (Samantha). They've been friends since junior high. Des is trying now to catch all the friend time she can before she and Tristan leave on Tuesday to go back to Oklahoma.

After church we took Tristan over to our daughter's house. He loves Dede, John, Ashly and Emerson and he is their favorite little guy, especially after he and Des had lived there for three months a year ago.

After a week of camp and now this heat, we were ready for some "quiet" time. Life with Tristan isn't quiet. He is a busy little boy.

Late in the afternoon we were invited to a summer dinner at Cyndi's new home. She's the one in our group of friends who loves to cook and to have people into her home. So we were invited and our friends Bob & Lynda. They have just returned from a couple of months of being gone in their 5th-wheel (camper van). They were as far north as southern Illinois and as far east as the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Georgia (where Lynda's son's family lives). Also at Cyndi's dinner were Tim & Mollie and George. It was a very enjoyable summer evening.

After our evening at Cyndi's, we checked-in with our daugher and learned that Tristan and Desiree were going to spend the night there, which seemed like a good idea.

It's good to be home.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
