Uh-oh!
After our walk in the park this afternoon, I had my blip for the day, or so I thought because I had several possible butterfly blips to choose from. Then after supper, Bob and I went to the grocery store. Coming home, from the store, we turned onto our street, and Bob said, "Uh-Oh!" The flashing lights, rescue vehicle, police car, and crowd standing across the street from our house looked pretty alarming. We pulled into a neighbor's driveway and went to investigate.
According to our neighbor from across the street, they had invited her husband's father over for supper. After supper they packed up some leftovers for him and said goodbye. He pulled out of their driveway, turned onto the street, and somehow flew across the street and crashed into the ornamental pear tree on our tree lawn. The tree didn't move, but his air bag deployed, and the neighbors came running. When we arrived home 15 minutes or so later, the paramedics were still there treating him, but shortly after I took this picture, they pulled away, with his son following in his car, and took him to the hospital. We haven't heard any news since then. His daughter-in-law and grandchildren were standing out on the sidewalk, and they said he seemed fine when he said goodbye. I am just praying that he is okay. I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow.
