Take two........

I couldn't resist it - another trip today to my duck pond to see if I could spot the pukeko chicks :)

Kind of...

Spotted 2 of them with ma and pa scurrying round the sedges - but obviously not ready for blip-hype yet!!

This was either ma or pa having just made a reccy trip to the middle of the pond and back. They sure do appear to make wonderful parents and seem very protective of their wee balls of fluff.

I shall keep on trying to shoot some shots of the wee things - they appear so gangly and ungainly with their long, red chicken legs and size 13 feet! Watch this space..........
